halloween 2015 and pop turns 50!

Halloween is always a blast, but this year was even more fun because we threw my Dad a surprise 50th birthday party the day before!  What a way to kick off such a great holiday!  We had the party at Wick's and had such a great night of fun, food, dancing, and laughter :)

Most of Grandpa Bud's girls with him :)

Our little family... Love them to pieces.

The munchkins were loving the music and the dancing.

Halloween was also so much fun.  Ellie was superhero this year, complete with a cape with a monogrammed E on the back.  She loved her costume and got to wear it a few times, including Milesy and MB's annual Halloween party, her school, and even her soccer game the morning of Halloween :)

Look at these cuties!

We enjoyed the night at the Kane's with chili and had a blast trick-or-treating around the neighborhood.  The girls almost made it to the front of our neighborhood this time!

fall break 2015

Fall Break was a blast!  We got to relax some, play some, celebrate some, and just be with each other.  It was a wonderful time away from the everyday craziness of life and much appreciated.

We went to the Indianapolis Zoo one day and I took Amie to see Dirty Dancing on Broadway for her birthday present :)  So much fun on both days!

Huber's with my work family was a blast.  We picked pumpkins, had lunch, and drank some yummy sangria.

Chelsea is now Mrs. Riggle!  We had so much fun celebrating with her at her beautiful wedding and reception.

We celebrated our sixth anniversary over fall break, too.  So many memories together!

We spent our anniversary as a family :)  Went to the Cards scrimmage game and then went to Ditto's.  It was awesome.

baby emerson is here!

Aunt Giggie has a new little one to snuggle!  Emerson Reese Kane, you arrived quite unexpectedly!  Your mommy texted me all day telling me that she thought she was having contractions.  I kept begging her to go to the hospital, but she didn't leave school until 2:40, and didn't leave for the hospital until around 4.  Your mommy was 9 cm dilated!  Nana called Aunt Giggie and I rushed to the hospital right away so I could see your mommy before you came.  A few hours went by, and you were here!  I love you so much, little girl.  We are so blessed!

cammie's actual birthday!

We spent the Saturday before Cam's birthday at the Indianapolis Children's Museum and had a blast!  The girls got to see everything and had so much fun.  We loved looking at the cool exhibits and getting to hang out with our BFF's.  It was a wonderful day!
Note:  Please notice the pictures ta the bottom.  Nick and Chris playing Jenga and Nick wearing the dinosaur costumes.  They had just as much fun as the girls did!

cam is five!

We celebrated Cam's party a few weeks early at the Clarksville Family Aquatic Center!  It was so much fun.  Cam and I went down the water slide no less than ten times and she had a blast.  It was great to see her have fun with her friends and just have a great last swimming moment with the girls  We closed the pool down on their last day :)  Here are some pictures of our fun time!

Love the way Cam holds Ellie's head toward the camera :)

Enjoying some hot dogs at the party!

Happy birthday, C-Monkey!  Your Aunt Giggie loves you more than you'll ever know!

summer lovin'

Summertime in Southern Indiana is about six weeks.  Since Mommy has to go back to work July 24th(ugh), there wasn't a lot of time to soak up summer activities.  We definitely made the most of it though, with a few zoo trips, some trips to different pools, and just playing together.  I love summer because of the relaxed feeling that comes along with it.  Not a lot of places to be, no real schedules taking place.  Just fun time.  Ellie was at a great age this year (no diapers, no special food, etc.) and was extremely portable.  We could just pick up and go, which I really enjoyed.  Here are a few moments of our summer of fun.
The new New Albany pool rocks!

Love our zoo days!

Oh, Eliot.  She has been putting socks on her hands a lot lately. Love that crazy girl.

Girls playing in their Bestie tanks :)

Ellie loved the Fourth of July and all of the fireworks!

We saw Minions for Amie's birthday!

My Paigey got married this summer, too!

What a beautiful bride!

The girls got to hang out at Grandma's new pool!

vacay 2015!

We hit up Fort Walton Beach, Florida for this year's beach vacation, and man, did we have a blast!  Even though we were a little cramped in our three bedroom condo with ten people, we had a ton of fun and laughs.  Ellie liked the beach and tolerated the pool, which made me happy.  We got some shopping in, ate awesome seafood, and had a plain old good time.

Our last night.. so much fun!

Dick teaching Ellie the proper way to ski-ball

Pop won both of these crazy girls a Minion from Fudpucker's.

Best buddies on the beach... life doesn't get much sweeter.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these 2.

Such a great trip!  Hopefully, see you next year, beach!

Two girls ready for their first day (sidenote:  Ellie picked out her bathing suit in JCPenney a few months ago.  She refused to leave the store without it.)

The best $15 ever spent at the Disney Store.  The girls played with those tea sets all week.

How does Pop sleep like that?

Have our cute hats and are ready to go!

Ellie was knocked out and was in Chris' arms for about a half hour.  See, they do love each other :)

On the car ride back.  Someone was exhausted from their trip!

ellie is free (or three to most of us)!

How can our Ellie Bellie be three?  I feel like I was just on the way to the hospital, part excited, part terrified.  She has brought more joy to me than I ever thought was possible.  Even on my roughest days, I can look at her and know that I have done something right in my life.  She is quirky, loving, hilarious, stubborn, and just plain old awesome.  We got our pictures taken for her three year old birthday a few weeks before the big day.  We have never used Ashley Bowen Photography before, but she was amazing.  Quick and easy, just like we want it for a three year old :)

Her actual birthday was on a Saturday this year, but Mommy and Daddy took off on Friday the 8th to celebrate with a special trip.  Amie let Cam play hooky from preschool, and we went to the Children's Museum in Indianapolis for the day.  We had to go to Kosair in Brownsboro first to get a hip x-ray done with Eliot (to make sure we could move forward with physical therapy), and then we were on our way!  We had a blast!  Walt and Haley met us up there and we all got to play with our two favorite girls.

The next day, we had just as much fun.  We had a soccer game in the morning and got to pass out birthday treats to everyone after the game.  After that, we went home to get ready for the family party.  Ellie wanted spaghetti and bacon flavored chips for her birthday party, so that is what she got :)  It was so much fun celebrating with our family and was a wonderful weekend showing Ellie that she is so amazing.

The next morning was Mother's Day, so we went out to breakfast with my Mom and Grandma Sandie.  What a great weekend!
