halloween 2015 and pop turns 50!

Halloween is always a blast, but this year was even more fun because we threw my Dad a surprise 50th birthday party the day before!  What a way to kick off such a great holiday!  We had the party at Wick's and had such a great night of fun, food, dancing, and laughter :)

Most of Grandpa Bud's girls with him :)

Our little family... Love them to pieces.

The munchkins were loving the music and the dancing.

Halloween was also so much fun.  Ellie was superhero this year, complete with a cape with a monogrammed E on the back.  She loved her costume and got to wear it a few times, including Milesy and MB's annual Halloween party, her school, and even her soccer game the morning of Halloween :)

Look at these cuties!

We enjoyed the night at the Kane's with chili and had a blast trick-or-treating around the neighborhood.  The girls almost made it to the front of our neighborhood this time!

ellie is free (or three to most of us)!

How can our Ellie Bellie be three?  I feel like I was just on the way to the hospital, part excited, part terrified.  She has brought more joy to me than I ever thought was possible.  Even on my roughest days, I can look at her and know that I have done something right in my life.  She is quirky, loving, hilarious, stubborn, and just plain old awesome.  We got our pictures taken for her three year old birthday a few weeks before the big day.  We have never used Ashley Bowen Photography before, but she was amazing.  Quick and easy, just like we want it for a three year old :)

Her actual birthday was on a Saturday this year, but Mommy and Daddy took off on Friday the 8th to celebrate with a special trip.  Amie let Cam play hooky from preschool, and we went to the Children's Museum in Indianapolis for the day.  We had to go to Kosair in Brownsboro first to get a hip x-ray done with Eliot (to make sure we could move forward with physical therapy), and then we were on our way!  We had a blast!  Walt and Haley met us up there and we all got to play with our two favorite girls.

The next day, we had just as much fun.  We had a soccer game in the morning and got to pass out birthday treats to everyone after the game.  After that, we went home to get ready for the family party.  Ellie wanted spaghetti and bacon flavored chips for her birthday party, so that is what she got :)  It was so much fun celebrating with our family and was a wonderful weekend showing Ellie that she is so amazing.

The next morning was Mother's Day, so we went out to breakfast with my Mom and Grandma Sandie.  What a great weekend!

easter 2015

We started some new traditions this year for Easter... Breakfast and Egg Hunt at the Kane's, Dinner at my Aunt and Uncle's house in Pekin, and just some good old family time.  I am not used to breaking traditions, but it was much needed for this year and we did have a good time :)

Ellie wanted her piggies painted for church on Saturday night.

Easter service at Northside :)

Love my girls.

Sleepyhead didn't want to wake up to see what the Easter Bunny brought her.

A stuffed George!

The Muppets Movie... That bunny is awesome!

christmas 2014

Christmas was amazing this year, as always.  Ellie being two made it pretty magical and special.  We got to do some things that we haven't done before with her (go look at Christmas lights, begin our Elf on the Shelf tradition, etc.) and that was extremely wonderful to me.  We crammed a lot into a few weeks of the Christmas season, and with only one weekend of the flu bug getting us down (and a missed Polar Express opportunity :(), I would say it was an extremely successful time filled with family and friends!  We are blessed!

Ellie and Erin at our School's Christmas Pajama Party/Literacy Night (and the start of our flu bug weekend)

Cammie did so amazing at her Christmas Show!

Love this little girl to pieces!

Rainbow had a bring a friend week and Cam brought E :)
Acting silly, of course :)

Look what mom found while she was Christmas shopping!  Ellie will be ready for our Disney trip next year in December!

About to go to church, eat dinner with Mommy and Daddy, and then go look at Christmas lights!

Of course we had to stop by Graeter's that night, too.

The last day of school before break, me, Amie, Marci, Jess, and Erin went to Nashville to see Justin Timberlake in concert.  We had an AWESOME time!!

Elle during our Christmas celebration with the Lawrence's.

Christmas morning, Bailey got to put on Ellie's new Anna gown!

Aunt Caitie and Uncle Soon got Ellie a vanity.  How pretty!

The Lewis girls all together :)

Ellie had some awesome surprises from Santa!

She got a princess bike!!

Of course, Brohdi was exhausted from it all.
